Philip A. Beach joined BLG in 2014 as an of counsel attorney. Admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2000 and to the Florida Bar in 2004, he has been principally engaged in commercial and construction litigation.

Phil’s areas of concentration include all aspects of business and complex civil litigation, construction defect litigation, contract disputes, collections, and insurance defense.

Mr. Beach received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1992 and his juris doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1999. While in law school, Mr. Beach served for two years as a judicial law clerk to Alfred L. Brennan, Sr., and Kathleen Gallogly Cox, Associate Judges, Third Judicial Circuit, Baltimore County, Maryland. His experience participating in jury and bench trials led to a desire to practice law as a civil litigator.

He is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association, South County, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar.

Bradley S. Bell

Brad Bell is the founder of BLG and a long-time resident of Tampa, FL. He graduated high school from Berkeley Prep and received a double major in Economics and International Affairs from Florida State University. After college, Mr. Bell worked in the family business before attending South Texas College of Law where he excelled academically.

Mr. Bell began his legal career in 1999 as a staff attorney for the Second District Court of Appeal in Lakeland, Florida. After several years with the appellate court, Mr. Bell worked with several AV rated commercial litigation and insurance defense firms as both an associate and a partner before starting BLG in 2013. Mr. Bell has been involved in numerous jury and non-jury trials over the years in both the state and federal courts.

One hundred percent of Mr. Bell’s practice is focused on litigation. He prides himself on building strong relationships with his clients by keeping them informed and involved through all aspects of their case. This relationship encourages the client to ask questions and be heard throughout the litigation process. As a result, most of Mr. Bell’s clients return as future clients for years to come. Most of Mr. Bell’s clients (be they national or international corporations, insurance companies, local businesses or individuals) have been dedicated clients of Mr. Bell’s for years.

Mr. Bell devotes his free time to his wife and two children and numerous community activities. He is a member of Hyde Park United Methodist Church and he is a senior member at Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club.

Douglas J. Collins

Mr. Collins is a partner at BLG. Mr. Collins’ practice is focused on commercial litigation, and insurance defense.  He represents clients in state and federal court.  Mr. Collins has represented municipalities and Fortune 500 corporations in numerous litigation matters, ranging from contract and employment disputes to liability and constitutional claims.

Mr. Collins received his undergraduate degree in Legal and Political Philosophy from the University of North Florida.  He continued his education at Stetson University College of Law, where he graduated with a Certificate of Concentration in Advocacy.  While in law school, Mr. Collins participated in internships with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County.  Mr. Collins also served as a research assistant while in law school, focusing on real property and land use issues.

Mr. Collins is admitted to practice law before all state courts in Florida, the United States District Courts for the Middle and the Southern Districts of Florida, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is also is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

William “Chip” Tieder began his legal career clerking for an AV rated firm in Tampa focusing on commercial litigation. As a senior associate, Mr. Tieder has represented hotels, governmental entities, small and large businesses, and individuals throughout the state of Florida. Mr. Tieder’ s experience includes litigating complex commercial cases, employment disputes, and general liability matters including premise liability cases.

Mr. Tieder received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy with a minor in Business Administration from the University of West Florida, and his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. Mr. Tieder is involved in, and has dedicated his time to such organizations as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Delta Tau Delta, Unite for Change, and The University of Tampa. Mr. Tieder is Vice-President of the Del Oro Groves Homeowner’s Association, the Chapter Leader for the University of West Florida Alumni Association in Tampa Bay, and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Service Center.

Mr. Tieder is admitted to practice law before all state courts in Florida, as well as the United States District Courts for the Middle District and the Southern District of Florida.
